When the MMO originally released in 2018, it was met with skepticism from both critics and players who considered the initial version buggy and half-baked. Many believed it would follow the path as similar online attempts of that period.

We have always had faith in this experience, stated the development lead. The debut was kind of like the opening act of our story. Users come out and they don't see established communities, and they explore their surroundings. Our approach was primarily staying focused and continuing to develop the gameplay that we are confident our fans will appreciate, and that we personally enjoy.

Exploring Unexplored Regions

This expansion represents the most substantial content addition to date. The key aspect is the territory addition, allowing players to venture outside into the Ohio region and discover what circumstances have unfolded there. Heads up: Trouble awaits!

The designers explained that venturing into a different region after considerable duration in the original setting presented an perfect chance to experiment with an new setting within the Fallout universe.

We hadn't really explored Ohio in the established canon extensively, stated the development lead. Starting from the current map, if you move east, you begin entering the Capital Wasteland.
