On Monday, the court learned phone records and evidence obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most covered child disappearance cases and is still unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate recorded message, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I know what I feel."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Imagine there is a small chance that I'm her? What happens next? Is that not important for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I simply desire to know," the recording stated.

The panel was informed that through emails, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a effort to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with Leicestershire Police who gathered the evidence, told the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone saying "I will continue and I will prove my position."

The court was informed the co-defendant developed a connection online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in that winter.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out using messaging service to Mrs McCann to express the media had depicted Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be treated respectfully in the time before the trip to Rothley, the county, in December 2024.

The court was told correspondence between the two individuals, in November 2024, planning attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from cutlery at a eating establishment.

"We must make a stand," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their house, the defendant transmitted a message which expressed: "We're currently positioned outside the McCanns' house with our lights out similar to detectives. I desired to achieve this with another person I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial proceeds.
