Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Report

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are expected, as the firm intending to announce complete information during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Previous updates stated the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

Until December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
