No Positive Result - Citizens Throughout the US Share Concerns Regarding the Government Closure

US legislators from both political sides are accusing one another as thousands of workers remain on unpaid leave and the shutdown continues with no resolution in view.

Democrats have resisted to back the Republican budget proposal unless expiring healthcare subsidies that they claim many laboring parents rely on are renewed.

Republicans want the opposition to pass a short-term measure initially and then they can discuss the subsidies.

A Republican Voter, Forty-Nine, Republican

This Golden State resident is anxious about the broad consequences of the funding halt on regular citizens.

The GOP have 53 yeas, they need 60 to approve the measure. Could it be that challenging to reach agreement over a handful of supporters so that Americans avoid harm?

If this persists for an extended period, the reality is US citizens are being affected, US residents are being touched by this and somebody needs to step up to be the adult in the group.

I feel sometimes legislators are so removed from ordinary citizens, the regular person going about their day, so they don't remember what the struggle is like and I believe they must take that into consideration, notably if it's a large number of workers that are without income.

That's a significant number of Americans not getting paid, that's a lot of people failing to contribute their money into the economic system. Americans are just being harmed.

Denise Demontagnac, Twenty-Two, Democrat

This Old Line State voter understands this closure will cause pain to many Americans, but she thinks it is a important battle.

I'm concerned because there is no positive result with the federal government being inactive.

I'm highly anxious about what's going to transpire to poor households, students who rely on federal scholarships and government workers.

But this is a worthwhile battle for the Democratic Party to pursue. Of course jobs are going to be cut, programmes are going to lack financial support, which is so disappointing but I do not believe that is responsibility that the Democrats would have on their record.

I believe it's worth it to stand firm, this is delivering a meaningful message to their constituents.

Punal Bhavsar, Mid-Thirties, Democrat

This Golden State voter is worried the Democratic Party do not have tactics in their closure strategy.

I don't know if the Senate Democratic leader has a roadmap for an off-ramp to negotiations or how to guide the faction beyond this.

I question if the Democrats have a effective communication to the citizens on what they're pursuing.

In terms of online communication, the GOP clearly have the advantage. The messaging is not resounding on what the left are aiming for.

I'm presently at a stage where I'm kind of nervous because funding lapses harm the public.

I'm going to be okay, but for others who needs the government, who hopes to go visit a public land or gallery, they're going to be impacted, if not immediately, then in the coming days.

And that is unreasonable.

A Republican Voter, 55, Republican

This Indiana citizen states the left are playing politics with regular citizens and their well-being.

This is typical politics. It is a stopgap measure they are trying to approve, that the Democrats don't support.

People are calling it a Schumer shutdown, it's not the fault of the GOP, it's because of the opposition, he's proceeding to stay prominent within his group - in the meantime, all are in the uncertainty.

I do not perceive that this is going to end.

The real people are stuck in the crossfire, and the left are willing to sacrifice the public. They're hurting their cause any favours when they really hold up things like this.

A Democratic Voter, 27, Democratic Supporter

This Sunshine State resident states the Democratic strategy is a challenging but required one and one that touches his family member, who has been sent home because of the closure.

The Democratic strategy is a tough one, but regrettably it is a necessary one.

They have not been able to do very much to halt or stop the current administration's agenda.

I support their tactic, I endorse their reasoning for proceeding.

The administration leader is a aggressor and if you yield to a intimidator he's going to demand additional concessions, that's how aggressive people behave. So you have to confront a bully to make him understand you're not going to concede for without resistance.

The point when it goes too far is when the Democrats start failing in the narrative struggle, if the perception shifts to criticizing the Democrats then it might be time to call it quits.

A Republican Voter, Mid-Sixties, Republican

This Grand Canyon State citizen is insulated by the closure so he is supportive of the shutdown continuing, if that is what it is needed for the GOP to win.

I would think after the year that the Democrats have had, I would have anticipated that they would have supported the continuing resolution, at least temporarily.

I am fully supportive of what the Republicans are pursuing, I'm fully supportive of reducing government spending.

The left have grown so hateful of the political leader, regardless of what he offers I feel they would look for excuses to oppose him.

I myself am not feeling the immediacy that some citizens are, this leaves me untouched.

The minimal we rely on the government - what it supplies for us - the closure is will leave unchanged us {whatsoever|at all|in any
